If you have the money to dump into a Lotus, AFTER you get the thing to run-right in box-stock configuration, THEN want to continue to spend $$$$$$$ to get 500+ HP out of it.....

 

Tell me WHY, again, you don't buy a Ferrari?  You're spending 360/430 money....at least you'll have a car with handling and braking capabilities that supports what HP the drivetrain is dishing-out.  You will NOT have that with a 500+ HP Lotus, which will gladly fishtail you into the nearest guardrail if given the chance.

For a car that can be easily modified to 500+ HP, I don't think it's a bad deal at all.

If you like the look, the car is very dominant at the price point.

As far as maintenance costs.....may I quote Erik on his wisdom regarding the similarly priced 355:

"That car separates the poseurs from those who have money"

Same thing, no? :)
