Hi Gang, Sorry about the OT post - tried google without success. From time to time my customers need to provide credit card numbers and such and email is often the easiest way but many people are fearful their info will be intercepted. IMO, the possibility is very low and I'm not aware of any instances where it has happened. (If my secure shopping cart is used, all the financial stuff is all done behind secure walls - or so I'm told. I never even see the CC #'s.) I tell them to spread the numbers across several emails to minimize the possibility. seems like the shear number of emails flying back and forth must make it really difficult to snatch one enroute. Anything is possible of course, but to grab one of the few emails carrying CC info seems to defy the odds. What have ya'll found? Any real life cases? I know email address books are compromised all the time but that's not exactly the same as getting access to a email traveling between accounts. ?? LarryT |
