Rodney,

While it is obvious which is the more fun car, it's debatable which is the more sensible daily driver long term.

I say this because I've experienced first hand what it is like to daily drive a 6 speed, 400 hp V8 for several years. When you drive it all the freaking time, it loses a lot of its luster.

Sure it is enjoyable on spirited weekend drives, road trips, but that doesn't comprise a huge percentage of most people's driving.

If you have to have ONE car, sure.....I get it, I bleed gasoline like everyone else here.

But in an ideal world, you have some real toys and a reliable, perhaps even "boring" daily driver.

I think my compromise here would be if I had a few cool cars (F, L, P cars....muscle, etc)......a fun daily would be something like a Ford Raptor or Grand Cherokee SRT-8. You have the muscle, with vehicles that can do more than carry a few passengers.

To me, the Cadillac CTS-V meets your requirements. 6 speed, power, seating, fun to drive chassis, reliable "enough" and definitely in your price range. Interior pampers you enough. Great factory sound system. only weak point is the nav - not as good as the competition. A Camry could meet your needs but which would you rather drive? Yes, I have owned both the Camry and CTS-V...

Rodney - in BMW hell.
