You never keep a car long enough To see the issues Clyde Romero
In Victory you deserve Champagne So much crying on FList...are some of you guys getting old? Ha! After stern warnings from Flist I bought a carbed car in 1998. It didn't take me long to realize: THERE IS NOTHING REQUIRED AS FAR AS SPECIAL CARE AT ALL!!! GASP! Carbed cars are great...I've had a bunch continuously since 1998. They start every time...no electronics to troubleshoot, no warm up circuits and crusty electrical connections. Just gas, spark, explosions and ridic throttle response. If you drive them at least once a month, use Sta Bil and let them warm up...it's no big deal. Why all the tears?? FI has it's place on daily drivers and other uses but why on Earth would anyone want a Countach with FI? That's pure atrocity... A downdraft Countach with six Webers
will make your loins overheat. The noise is incredible. If you guys are too busy, lazy, old to wait for a fuel pump or to prime the carbs, just admit it! Please spare us the complaining. Better yet, bring an adult diaper and earplugs and drive one of my carbed cars when you're in the DC area next. We can make it a party. LS

Meh - carbs. Don't have time for 'um. Today's ethanol ain't your daddy's gasoline....one stuck carb float-bowl WILL ruin your life. Oh, you have between 4 and six of the buggers to worry about, atop your $35,000-$150,000 engine made of Unobtainium?
Give me a 82 Countach S that's been converted to Electromotive so I can jump-in, turn-the-key, and GO-GO-GO-GO, not sit there and dicker with the choke and fuel-pump spin up, and pray to Jesus that something isn't 'right' in the engine-bay behind me and my car won't turn into a flaming Bomb/BBQ with me inside it......if I have to live with that fear every time I go to start/drive a car, I need a better mechanic or I need a better car. Most go with the better car.
Don't get me wrong, I love the 308 GT/4 - back-seats, a trunk, excellent weight distribution, rigid chassis, nice cockpit. Bertone styling ain't for everybody, but this works...I agree about the Dino badging, the Euro Series 1 trim is better...I've seen a GT/4 on the track with a QV engine dropped in the engine bay, and that car was FLYING. I'd love to stuff a worked 3.2L engine from a 328 into a car like this...it WILL fit without mods...the boys at Symbolic were using them as coffee tables for awhile, I know somebody who has one in a barn locally.....aaahhh! Now we be jammin'.

How often do you drive this car, and what is the significance of those drives?
