Hey Friends,

I hope to get the new battery put in the Testarossa today, in advance of 3
days of rain. Unlike in a Mondial, where it is a real bitch to get the
battery out/in through the wheelwell, the Testarossa and 308GTB batteries
are down in holes - but you know that. I have fought that fight before and
hate it. Yesterday I bought a battery lifting tool so the battery R&R on the
TR may be a little easier this time.

Sorry. Just thought I should offer an ON TOPIC post, perhaps to atone.

A little OT but speaking of Testarossa, I saw a picture of a new
Lamborghini Aventador Roadster with matte black bottoms like the TR.....

Even thicker than the TR....I'd say it was several inches thick!

Interesting stuff.....

The black valence and spoiler edge on the early TR was excellent for the
design.

I am not sure why painting it body color was so popular?

I've heard that is why the turbine cars were "discouraged"
from further competition at Indy.....

Likewise. I think it contributes to making the 512TRs look heavier and
fatter than they are.
