Apart from price and aesthetics, there are 2 other things to remember about rims â offset and weight and then with tyres, of course, the rolling diameter is very important. ÂFYI, some time ago, some guys on Ferrarichat posted weights of rims and tyres as followsâ

(birdman):
OEM 308QV wheels:
16x7 front: 15 pounds
16x8 rear: 16 pounds

Superformance reproductions:
16x7 front: 19 pounds
16x8 rear: 20 pounds

(MikeC and FerrariUK, I am not sure if this is early concave or late convex wheel weights)
OEM 328 wheels:
16x7 Fronts: 22.9 lbs
16x8 Rears: 24.3 lbs

Tyre Weight specs:
Average 205/55x16 tyre weight: 21-23 lbs
Average 225/50x16 tyre weight: 26-28 lbs

So you do pay a bit in extra unsprung weight in going to the reproductions and in going to the 328 wheels, which also have some minor fitting issues (e.g. wheel bearing grease caps) but the offsets are ok.

Cheers,

Grahame
