Ferrari is all about hype to the uninformed buyer

They know this and live off it like a leach lives off its host body 

The Ferrari clubs help propagandize this image as well especially the left coast crowd !

They are the worst.

Just look at the pebble beach gig and Cavillino show

If idiots want to drop that kind of coin for shit box cars let them

It's just sad that they don't take up flying and self cleanse themselves 

As for older cars I don't get it

It's like older WW 2 airplanes

They were death traps as well

But to each there own

86 to 04 were the years to own in my book

Easy to maintain lots of reasonable parts

You ever notice that these auction catalogs are written for people who may/probably know absolutely nothing about the car or the marque offered?  Each listing somes with a "wikipedia history lesson" that explains why you should buy THIS car at THIS price?  That should tell you all you need to know about guys who spend money on cars at auctions - some of these clowns would pay $180,000 for a 308 if you put a mountain of hype behind the car and got them to believe that a particular car was a "collectors item".....and I'm not talking about a SEFAC/Micholotto Rally racer, either.  I'm talking about the dog in our garage that needs new fuel lines and shock bushings.  What a business model they have going.

 

I can't believe 'educated' buyers dump money into the auction system unless they REALLY care more about getting the car than they do about what they're spending.
