No, it wasn't nepotism...  Its a nationalism thing at Ferrari.  And, I applaud them for that.  They are trying to keep countrymen in fold.   But its just not working.  At some point LdM or his bosses at FIAT needs to decide which is more favorable...  having an Italian at the helm or winning.  I'm hoping for the latter.   For disclosure, I'm mostly Irish but part Italian.  My grandmother on my father's side was 1st gen... and her name was Italy.

You don't remember???
Giancarlo Fisichella!!!

Another name with a vowel on the end?

I get the nepotism drift, but hmmmm, maybe not a good one on ya.

And when was the last time a native drove a Ferrari F1 car, I forget?

Domenicali leaving is a scapegoat... and probably a good decision.
FNA CEO running things....   once again they promote from within... another name with a vowel on the end...  they just never learn.

All the (more) successful teams are getting people from all over... get the best to be the best.

The best news I've heard in this regard has been the possible return of Ross Brawn.
