I've said it before... they keep doing the same thing expecting different results.
I applaud their nationalistic approach. Its good for Italians everywhere. It just sucks for Ferrari F1 and us tifosi. And I'm NOT saying there aren't good Italians that can do the job but they keep promoting from within and they keep being mediocre with the people they have.
You don't have to look too far back to find glory days when the team was not top heavy with internal Italians. There was that little French guy who ran the team and big barrel chested English engineer and the wonderful German driver. (no flames, I know their names but their multinational make-up was more to the point). If it weren't for Alanso (top of the heap non-Italian), they wouldn't have the points they do. For a few years now I think he has shown he is the best driver by consistently driving over his head to wring every ounce (and then some) from a mediocre car.
But I agree... the mess that is F1 is the FIA and all the stupid rules. Changing engine packages every few years doesn't save money. Having to develop an existing engine to go more races doesn't save money. Front end development cost have far exceeded any money the teams may have saved by using fewer motors. Anyone care to venture a guess on the costs of the Batteries they throw away after every event. Lets put it this way... you could retire in luxury for what they spend on Battery systems for these new Hybrids... but all in the name of being green, saving
money.... BS! Little or no track testing saves some money but cost even more dearly in other aspects.

They have said this before. Just a hissy fit by Luca cause he cant win by micromanaging the team. The new manager is a joke no F1 experience and there are many young guys at Maranello whomI am sure could make a winning car as long as they were let loose. I also think the f1 rules suck.No testing..... no engine mods... no fun... :-Pjust my 2 centsRobert W.
