Sour grapes I say
Ferrari has hinted at this before
They will never leave F1
They are in fact defined by F1 itself and I could be talking out the side of my neck But I believe the FIA would do everything in its power to prevent Ferrari from leaving F1
Ferrari is pretty much like the New York Yankees
It's the team that defines the World Series and everyone loves to hate them But when they are not doing well no one really pays much attention to baseball This same logic or lack thereof can be applied to football with regards to the Dallas Cowboys of years past "Americas Team"

I agree on all points.

Watching Le Mans and feel that sports car racing is much more interesting these days. I hope that F1 can recover its mojo someday.

Oh, absolutely. My 308GTB has 3-5/8" road clearance under the front (deep) spoiler at a line connecting the front axles (lowest point). Driveways are challenging and speed bumps are just abominations (with or without adequate clearance). And it doesn't help that the nose is cantilevered out so far. My biggest risk is pulling into a driveway a little too near the edge where the kerb starts to rise. I've only nicked one spoiler that way but doing so produced a string of expletives that would make a sailor blush!

Such fun...

1. Well done on the re-jetting back to factory spec.. I'm always fascinated by previous owners who consider themselves more clever than professional engineers! That said, everything in a car is a trade-off. My guess is that your PO wanted a tiny bit more high speed grunt at the expense of drivability (slow running).

2. I definitely would restore the ride height to factory spec.. Same argument. Ride should be a little softer too without sacrificing handling or road-holding.

Well done on your ongoing restoration! Its an incredibly rewarding hobby, isn't it?!

I was with you line by line 100% until the Dallas Cowboys part....:)

The NFL is undeniably America's #1 sport now much more than ever, with a
Cowboys team that hasn't been dominant in 15+ years.

Back on topic, wasn't Ferrari originally a sports car manufacturer and F1
was 2nd fiddle?

Of course, times are different. It would be hard to see F1 without Ferrari,
impossible even.
