I'd sooner not change my oil filter at all than use a Fram.  If I can't identify the correct Baldwin or NAPA replacement -- and I suppose the next logical step is to contact them directly -- I'll use a UFI, and probably try to determine the manufacture date first.

Elementary question: 512TR uses one or two?  (I'm not going to change them; my mechanics will when they have the car for its annual state inspection next week.)

I am not sure the Baldwin is made for the later Ferraris I would use a UFI on those. A lister I know had several Fram collapse due to pressure on the inside which is not good for the engine. There were a whole batch

of bad ufis but they are all probably long gone now.

I would go with Baldwin first, order online through WR Grainger or NAPA should have one by WIX under their Gold label.

Am too lazy and challenged to efficiently search the archives, so could someone tell me what is generally recommended for a 512TR oil filter (and if it's not one that is readily available at somewhere like AutoZone, Pep Boys or Advance Auto Parts, what's a good, inexpensive source)?
