I have fitted these on mine.

Were fantasti cvalue from Costco here in UK. 320 UK pounds for the whole set. So  much better feeling than the 11 year old Goodyear F1s. And nitrogen filled as standard. I think Rui has similar tyres.

Good grip for our conditions. Noise really not an issue as the tyre noise is drowned out by everything else. Fuel efficiency - well - who cares for a Ferrari!

Whatever - they are FAR better than my hard 11 year old Goodyears. Who knows if they are best - but I am happy

Hi Friends,

Thought I'd throw my two cents in.

I have just a few criteria for selecting tires. Mind you, my '79 308GTB has non-ABS 328 wheels. Here's what I consider when buying for any car.

First of all, I only buy tires from TireRack and use their survey ratings for my decisions.

- Summer / performance tires. Doesn't get cold or ice/snow here so all weather capabilities aren't needed, or desired.

- Dry traction rating - sticky is good on Houston's hot roads.

- Wet traction rating - sticky is good on Houston's wet roads - although this is unimportant for my F-cars since they rarely see rain, if at all.

- Noise rating - I really HATE tire noise. That whine caused by hard, high mileage, all weather tires assaults my ears. Besides, my fun-car's tires grow hard from age long before I wear through the tread. Quiet is a very high decision criteria in my tire choice.

- Cost - Yea, I'm cheap. Blame my Scottish roots. That said; I don't buy Hancock or Khumo, only because I've had bad luck with a set of Khumos. Others swear by them. I also don't pay for premium brands like Michelin or Perelli, when less hyped brands (Bridgestone, Continental, Yokohama, etc.) receive similar or better performance ratings. And TireRack's 'best seller' and 'on sale' promotions help in my decisions. Living in south Texas, shipping is quite reasonable because tires are warehoused over in Louisiana. My local independent shop installs them.

So there are my tire thoughts. I know they contrast with many others' ideas because I have no particular allegiance to Ferrari or all-things-Italian. I just like nice dry grip and quiet performance.
