I am 64 years old I remember working on these American shit boxes when I was a teenager
They were shit back then when they were new!
Poorly built
Horrendous brakes and tires
Forget about any comfort
They were then  and still are the Harley Davidson's of the 4 wheel world
Noisy and don't handle
Thank god Americans don't all think like those idiots
Or we would have never landed on the moon, came up with color tv and air-conditioning
These guys are the Neanderthals of the car world
And as far as old Ferrari's are concerned
They at least had a racing heritage other than going fast for 1500' in a straight line!
Gotta go watch the F1race

In victory you deserve Champagne
In defeat you need it!

Scars are Tattoos with better stories !

If you follow all the rules
You miss all the fun!

Stupid money

For stupid cars

I sorta agree/disagree....

Muscle cars are great, but I never could rationalize them being worth
megabucks. I guess we could dismiss them as one trick ponies, but then
maybe we could do the same for vintage 250 series Ferraris that
couldn't handle or brake much better.

So we're putting on our red colored glasses and showing a bias for
exotics over muscle -- which I fully endorse. Just look at a 250 SWB
or 275 GTB....gorgeous and much classier looking interior.

Now a Cuda, Chevelle, Pontiac GTO are nice looking too in that muscle
way but not the same.

So I'm ok with "elite" muscle going for 100-200k perhaps, but this
$500k-$1M+ is insane. IIRC there may have been a $2 or $3M Cuda
sold....an extremely rare 1 of 5, convertible with manual, etc. Silly.
Like the 250 GTO version of muscle.

The good news for muscle is that you can get more or less the same
cars for a whole lot less if you're not obsessed with #s matching
crap, original this and that. There's no real stigma to doing
modifications and what not to these cars so long as you don't take
them to the big auction houses.

I believe one could get a "normal" muscle car for $50-60k these days
(less probably) and do what they want.  A far cry for a vintage
Ferrari.
