I visited the whole place with a group of maybe 10 people. Paint shop, engine shop, production/assembly line (the old one and the new modern one), engine testing place, leather/sewing department, even the Formula 1 shop. All in about 4 hours. Lots of things were amazing to see. But one thing I'll never forget is the guide when he told me everybody works 9 to 5, with no overtime, no weekends, a load of official holidays. At 5h00 pm a bell or siren was heard and EVERYBODY just suddenly stopped doing whatever they were doing and left the premise.
It looked like a fire drill, except it was not.

Michael - did you get a chance to go thru? I understand there are many
other attractions now outside of the factory that could take a whole day to go visit all of them. One thing I did do in 1999 was buy four sets of china from the restaurant. I was told they were used, but clean and not chipped. No, I could not buy the flat ware and no they do not (at that time) sell and
ship. We'll see what happens with FIAT at the helm. $$$$ oh boy - bet
they'll sell yellow and red pencils with the name Ferrari. Wait - don't
they already do that?

I actually visited the factory in july 2009. Once over there I was told by
the guide you had to be an owner and go to a Ferrari dealer for your demand.
Then the dealer asks you what are your available dates. They send the
information to Ferrari North America and FNA sends you an email confirming
the date.
Or you need to be an employe of one of their sponsors/suppliers or something
like that.
