Larry notes “Bentley's SUV has the green light, Lamborghini is tentative . . .”

Lambo DID build the LM002.  In 1996 I saw one at a used ‘toy store.’  Sales guy told me the tires were $13,000 each.  My my.

They also had a newish Volga (looked like a `1955 Packard) and a green over tan 246 with 2,000 or so miles.  They wanted $19.950 for the 246.  Oregon car.  Sorta within my reach but I was looking for a 308 GTB.  Green I thot?  Now THAT has to be THE most prestigious color.  Why?  ‘cause anybody sees you in that they KNOW you have your red one, your yellow one, your black one, and your silver one at home.

About that time my acquaintance, Freeman Thomas (co-designer of the ‘new Beatle’ and THE designer of the Audi TT) commented to me how much he liked the 246.  I snorted – you mean Ferrari’s Porsche 914?  Why a real one doesn’t even have a prancing horse on it nor the name ‘Ferrari.’  I know he said – but the lines are timeless.  I shoulda listened.  Heh heh

Oh well –
