Exactly – and the swaps between a 550 and 575 in Will Smith’s “Bad Boys 2”. I think I remember reading that the 575 was the director’s personal car, so they used a same-color 550 for the action/damage sequences.

Sorta like Eddie Murphy bouncing back and forth in several Ferrari 308’s and a 328 I think in “Beverly Hills Cop 2” or was it BHC #19?  Oh well they were all red at least.
