I love my Vanquish, but so far it’s needed nothing so I can’t comment on support costs. It does have a flashing airbag light at the moment, so maybe I’ll cry cLyDe-size tears when I get that fixed. Other than that it is beautiful, comfortable and an absolute screamer in spite of its first-gen paddle shift transmission. It’s a fun novelty for me since all my others are true manuals, and when driven hard it does fit the character of the car. Clunky in traffic, so I just don’t drive that car in traffic.

The interior bits thing does ring a bell. I bought the car with a broken horn button – the plastic cap had popped off the switch. Aston will not sell me a $7 horn button to fix it. Instead, they want me to buy the entire steering wheel, including custom matched leather coloring, for $2,300. Obviously that’s not happening, but I’m sure that’s the kind of story that make the veins on cLyDe’s neck pop out.  J

I can fit into just about anything and rarely have run into that problem.

Clyde, I haven't heard of anything big or expensive as needing replacement. The engine was properly engineered so it has timing chains. The coils sometimes go bad, but they are $59/each Jag parts.

Most of the parts cross to other marques and are pretty cheap.

The driveline is robust too.

There are some carbon fiber interior bits that oxidize and need replacement.

And, as with our beloved Ferrari, we know that interior quality rarely predicts the quality of the rest of the car.

The V12 sound is amazing and the brakes are supposed to be pretty impressive. Euro style, 186mph and what seems like straightforward maintenance sounds intriguing.

Maybe a Vanquish S also? I know CG can chime in with his overall experiences there.

Or just sit in it and see if you fit. I don't.

Anyone own a DB7 Vantage?

They look pretty nice and potentially easy to maintain.

I'd like to hear some thoughts or insight.

Thanks,
