Do you really have a “winter” in Texas?  :-p

But good project list. I was wondering why we hadn’t heard more driving impressions on the Lotus yet. Should’ve known you would take it apart first, drive it later… J

Hi Friends,

Just checking in.

As I wrote earlier, I woke up early this morning. Damned Lipitor!  Felt like I slept in a cement mixer. Excedrin helped.

Winter is here and many of us are starting projects on our stored cars. And while its mostly OT, here are my winter projects - not that I'll get them done!

'09 Highlander - due an oil and filter change. I'll pay to have that done.

'08 Cayman - it will be due its annual service in January. The dealer does that.

'85 Testarossa - needs exercise and a service mod added to the fuel injection. More on this later.

'79 308GTB - needs exercise and nothing else.

'78 Esprit - needs post-rebuild carburetor tuning, brakes rebuilt and aftermarket A/C installed.

'73 E-Type - needs exercise and interior refinishing completed.

'73 1800ES - needs windshield and headliner reinstalled plus A/C rebuilt.

'69 Silver Shadow - needs exercise and bug in A/C switching repaired.

'62 TR3b - needs exercise and top sticks refinished.

'53 TD - needs reassembly completed.

Yea, good thing I'm retired! Well, mostly retired. 15 hours per week is enough. Mentoring young pups on how to find oil.

If the Saudis don't kill our domestic oil shale program, we'll be okay. BTW, the Saudi oil reserves numbers change to fit the OPEC and political climate! They have far less oil remaining than claimed. That's why they fear the U.S. oil production and are trying to suppress (read: destroy) it with cheap import oil. But I digress.

What are your winter plans? I think my first quest will be to exercise the cars on dry days, just to flush the tanks and wet the seals. Then continue to restoration, repair and completion - just not necessarily in that order.
