It all depends upon the speed of your WiFi connection. If it's a strong signal without a lot of interference, and you're running at least Wireless G (and preferably Wireless N), then you'll have no trouble getting top-notch HD video and digital sound.

I was considering a Chromecast & wondered about the quality of the transmission. Is wi-fi quality as good as a hard-wired connection between laptop tv? Is it even close?
