If I didn't have to pay 30 percent import duty and vat I would give you 85k dollars for a good 308qv. That's exactly the selling price here in the UK even being a lhd car.

I have multiple experiences with Mondials and other than the fuse board which can be remade, there is nothing wrong with that car. They handle much better than the 328's.

In late November I was at the NEC auction where a nice 308 fibreglass didn't sell at 175,000.00 used and a really ropey one which was not a nice car did sell for 185,000.00 usd. I can only assume it was bought unseen online as it was not a great car ( had a later bonnet as well) but in general the fibreglass 308s are selling under 200k dollars at current exchange rates here. These cars were RHD which there were far fewer of so I expect a LHD would be less.

Britt in the UK

If someone wants to give me $85k+ for my shitbox QV GTS, I'll go to the bank and pull the title out of the safety deposit box this afternoon, I'll take $175k for my 365 GT4, too.  Go find another stateside that was ordered new by an Italian who raced in the Targa Florio.

I'll keep the Mondial 8 just to piss Clyde off.

Supply versus demand, no one wants a used modern car, but hey, something from my childhood, different story.  Glass 308s are $250k cars in Europe.

That and the USD is Monopoly money...

Agreed, but modern Ferrari prices (as opposed to classics) are dropping.

360's are in the $60-90 range.

It won't be long until 430's are $100-120

... and by THEY I mean owners looking to sell..

Clyde should love this post.. heh

In 2010 I bought a one-owner fully serviced 1426mi 3 pedal red/sabbia F430 spider.

Paid $168 and change.

It went as part of the divorce 2 1/2 years ago and now I'm back in the market.

So here i am for a sanity check.

308's and 328's are coming up.
355's look to be close to the bottom of depreciation
360's are falling into or slightly above 355 money
430's are heading downward
458's are headed downward thanks to the 488

I realize that this is a generalization, excluding the stradales, scuds, and speciales, but it seems as if soon the 308/28 is going to bring more money than the 355/360.

This of course, is brought on by my looking at the current ads on FChat and wondering..

WHAT THE H***ARE THEY SMOKING?!?

Jim
