So sad when big corporate money contaminates heart and passion. And sadly, I feel this way about the latest Maranello road car offerings. It makes one wonder what the used car market might be like in a dozen years. Here's my point, and I have spewed it here before.

The amateur mechanic owner like me, can restore and tune a Testarossa or any 308. But step up to a 348 or later and the complexity grows multifold. And yes, we can handle complex but we can't handle obsolete proprietary diagnostic interfaces, or NLA unique parts. Try buying a MAF for a 348.

My point is that the 328 may be the last of the amateur restorable Ferraris. Or perhaps I'm just old.

I’m sure by mid-season they could figure out a way to cut some RX-8 style suicide rear doors into the FF and be done with it. #TeamMarchionne! Bleah…

Hi Friends,

Mercedes has put their cars at the top of the time sheet. Williams is a second off the pace and Ferrari is down 2 seconds. That's still better performance than their '14 season average of 6-or-worse finishes! Hopefully the field will tighten up at the front, and Ferrari will compete favorably. Its about time! Otherwise, they may as well settle for building the red, four door version of the Panamera, as Fiat would prefer.
