Let's go a step further.
First the 5252 RPM cross only happens with lb-ft and SAE HP. Effectively that is a unit-specific constant.
Next, remember that in any given engine torque is directly proportional to BMEP (brake mean effective pressure). The pressure of combustion. The torque peak is the efficiency peak for the motor.
The torque measurement is what makes the vehicle move. HP is for marketing and magazines.
