Driving here for the most part is not open empty roads; traffic is horrendous, the weather terrible 6 months of the year and salt and grit really takes its toll. Loads of people here know you can't make money with money in the bank so why not buy cars where at least you can look at them? I drive 30k miles a year with work and although I used a 328gts as my only car here back 15 years ago I would never do that know. My 140 mile commute each day is in a 5 series as it takes 4-5 hours to complete. When you do find the excellent empty roads in Wales or Scotland there are speed cameras everywhere or you are stuck behind farm tractors/ caravans/ or slow land rovers and just can't get going. I'm not defending everyone who owns cars and never drives them but if I had money sitting around I would happily rather have some cars than money in the bank. I may not get to drive them very much or even want to except for a jaunt to Italy in the summer but I can certainly see why you could have cars here in the UK with very low miles. It's just not the same environment like when I grew up in Florida and there were endless empty roads and sunny days to drive in.... This is not the same environment for driving as the usa. Just some things to think about BR in the UK Sent from my iPad On 15 Mar 2015, at 14:32, John Ashburne via Ferrari <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> wrote:_________________________________________________________________ To unsubscribe or modify your subscription options, please visit: http://lists.ferrarilist.com/mailman/options/ferrari/rgarven%40gmail.com Sponsored by BooyahMedia.com and F1 Headlines http://www.F1Headlines.com/ |
