Clyde,
First off, it's the Challenger.  More specifically the Wildcat.   I was always partial to the Challenger as I had a 1970 R/T with a Rex Hutchison built 383 when I was in High School in the mid 70s... That car got me in more trouble... and fun, than I ever told my folks about.

So, I was really happy to see the Challenger brought back!  Not real happy with the product itself.  I was fortunate enough get a ride in a Wildcat  recently and WHOA!  It scoots.  Like the original though, I see it more as a straight line car than a track day toy.

Yeah, this whole $60K over sticker is ridiculous, but not without precedent. Ford was doing it when they released the GT and the first *I* ever heard of it was with "new" Thunderbird.  Then, Chrysler did it with the PT Cruiser.   I know fools who have paid those premiums to get what they wanted NOW!   Petulant children.  You are so right about the stupidity of the American buyer.   Sadly we also let these idiots breed and vote.

Rick

And selling the product at margins unheard of in the retail sector
Other than the few speciality cars the used market is the same as other cars if you know how to shop
But can you imagine if Chevy or Ford could pull this off ?
And have you been following the Chrysler debacle with the Charger?
Dealers charging are you ready for this
60K over sticker for the shit box Charger with 707 hp !
My god how stupid is the American car buyer

In victory you deserve Champagne
In defeat you need it!
