I forget, cLyde, did you replace it with the same year engine? All other ancillaries same as your old one? Have you tested the sending unit? Each thermostat? Got any extras laying around you can swap out to see if it makes a difference?

Fans come on and off at the right time but the static temp is now 190 195 which is way warmer than it was before

No leaks

My guess is that one of the 2 thermostats is sticking ?
