After watching an excellent F1 race from Hungary
and watching Ferrari win. I was up for another good race. Brickyard 400 is on
tv. So why not ?
I haven't watched a Nascar race all year this year.
Too many yellow flags for all kinds of reasons. Mostly for tv
commercials.
May as always try the Brickyard.
Very early in the race, I actually said to myself
"Mmmmm 20-25 minutes, no yellow flags, no commercials, great". Then, suddenly it
happened. Yellow flags, safety car in, tv commentators are trying to figure out
what went wrong. A camera picks up 2 yellow (yes they were yellow) balloons
stuck together floating above the track. They never landed on the track
because the cars were pushing air up and making them float above the
track.
Nascar commentators MUST BE actual employees of
Nascar because instead of making fun of Nascar officials, they agree that this
was dangerous and the balloons had to be taken care of. More tv
commercials.
Been there, seen this, done that! No more. I turned
the tv off and went for a bike ride instead. I promised myself there and then I
won't be trying to watch another Nascar safety car show.
