The Germans are in for a rude awakening, ownership is going to become commodity and brand loyalty is going to be tough to monetize.  Kids really don't care anymore like they did in prior generations.  

Wait until Uber has a Ferrari available for Friday night.  Why tie up that much capital?

They've been doing ok for some time now....same with the Ford Mustang too. 

The German "premiums" have been that way for awhile now but the media/average person narrative has never strayed, and probably never will stray....

The former premium cars (Audi, BMW and Mercedes) have moved their brand center of gravity down in pursuit of volume, they're all becoming mass market brands now.  None are really worth the premium, so why not just chase bang for the buck?

Anyone that claims otherwise is trying to move inventory.

He must really hate the C63 because I still don't know in what universe Nielsen would actually endorse an American car....let alone spending his own money on one.

Most of the C63s are minimum 35k, some go up to 50k.

That's not a ton of money of course, but it does infringe on used E/S/CL territory of similar years.
