I don’t believe so. The circumstances are very different.

Speculative investors have been in the classic car market for a few years now. There is a local guy who could not tell a Countach from a BB 3 yrs ago that now is flipping cars left and right.

Scary time to be purchasing...

The rumblings I've heard out of the woodwork are the new players coming into the classic and vintage market are looking at the investment side.  Haven't been able to confirm it.

Bentley is making rumblings that they think they can extend the brand out to 30k units/year, that should be a large market share of the F1 and F2 segments (IHS markets, not racing).

Interesting times.

Do the current crop of first-time buyers care about resale? If they turn over their cars every year or two, they might not lose out much with each trade-in (I'm guessing. How much do dealers give for trade-ins?).

Off topic slightly, stock price is somewhat steady at around the high $40-some odd value... I'm still debating if it's worthwhile buying any.

I'm waiting to see what they ramp production up to and how that impacts resale. But resale only impacts those that are not really end users.
