The US has just recovered from one of the biggest recessions in history There is only so much sponsorship money out there and it goes to NASCAR not to F1 when it comes to the Americans following a racing series. Like it or not Americans for the most part don't follow F-1 whether we have a US driver or not and I personally don't believe the US team is going to make a difference either, much like our foray into soccer here in the US. Answer this question, what is the leading US Soccer team in America ? Yea I don't know either ! My only caveat there is that if the USGP team does really well or really poor. Then it will get some press, my guess is that it suffers much like Toyota did when it got into F-1 Getting into F-1 now a days into like getting into the space race, you better have very deep pockets and expect a lot of failures before you get one into orbit! Besides Europeans know we Americans have out NFL,baseball, Basketball what do we need with F-1! They would rather have another race in Europe ( read France ) My thoughts In victory you deserve Champagne In defeat you need it! Scars are Tattoos with better stories ! If you follow all the rules You miss all the fun! If you have no enemies, you have no character !
