I watched a lot of it on the internet live. It's great to see how the french differ from typical american auctions. They had 4 guys with microphones at the front. They kept cutting each other all the time. There were always
2 guys talking at the same time or almost. When there were no bids, they would just keep talking, bragging about the car and this and that. Long silence, no bids still, keep talking. Time was not a problem.
In typical american auction, as soon as the bids stop, then that's it, the hammer goes down very quickly. Next car please. Only one guy speaks.
