Dick asks the question "an F550/F575. . . . should (or would) be taken off the road because the OEM airbag cannot be repaired because OEM parts are no longer available? There must be a fix." If air bags (Supplementary Restraint System) are anything like catalytic converters - it only needs to be an approved part by the state repair parts governing body. For instance there are tons of 4 barrel carbed cars out there with CARB approved replacement Edlebrock carbs. But I don't think it was lack of an OEM SRS that caused the 'total' it was lack of an SRS ignition computer designed within the Ferrari computer systems. As I noted before - lots of chatter 6 to 10 years ago because jump starting an F550 and others fried the TRW SRS ignition computer. Now I couldn't find anything newer on any of the chat blogs. Maybe I just looked in the wrong spots. DOUG
