When I first heard the change in format, I thought it would be a good idea.
However, they only succeeded in bringing the empty track time from the front of
each session to the back.

My immediate thought for a fix was that every team had to run the hardest
possible compound and could not change the tires, at least for each session,
and possibly for the whole of qualifying.

That way there's no consideration of the time involved in bringing a fresh set
of tires up to temp or timing things such that the super softs get their single
golden lap in at the right time. You warm the tires at the beginning of the
session, and the hard compounds should be relatively stable throughout, but
track grip should also improve marginally as it rubbers in, providing a small
incentive to run the whole session since your competitors might be picking up
tenths here or there...

Politics is a joke. So is F1. Bummer.

Well i guess i should eat my words on the quail format when i said i liked what
was coming! This was not-qualifying but park-alfying and giving up. Racing?
No. BS? Yes. Lets just put a safety car out from lap 1 til the end so we can
save fuel, tires and no one gets hurt.
It's the players who turned it into a joke. Haas must be using old Ferrari
advisors the way they blew it.
GET OUT AND RUN!!!
A few tweaks and it will work. After the eliminations in each round the
remaining need to set times until the end. or whatever.
