Awfully nice looking and well presented. All the classic features of a front V12, stick, analog gauges. Too bad about those horrendously high miles though!  ;)

I hope that many of those miles were yours!

My 550 is on eBay and has has already hit it's reserve price, so it will be sold.

I've got two very higher roller serious bidders (Movie producer in LA and a real estate developer in NYC)
who will duke it out on Tuesday night when the auction ends at 6:00PM.

I'm hoping for $145K and will be happy to take the money and run.

Listen everyone of us thinks their car is worth way more than it actually is
Trust me even in a bull market which apparently we are in with cars we think our car will be worth what the auction houses say
Nothing could be further from the truth
The only way to find out what your car is really worth is to shop it
Period
End of statement
You call dealers that sell your car and ask them what would they give you for it
It's that simple
Because that price that you get from the dealer will reflect the true market in your locale
That's it in a nut shell
Forget the baby shit yellow rag FML and CAV pricing
One car might go for that price to some idiot who has Bill Gates money
You will get your feelings hurt when you find out the price
But hey that's life

When buying one of these cars you want to buy the car as cost to this price as possible
That's CLYDE PRICING !

Some of the cars that take the biggest hits are Roll Royce and Lamborghini and Maserati
And let's not leave out Ferraris and Lotus come to mind and Mercedes AMG as well

Ferrari spyders don't take the hit in the first year because of supply and demand
But once the sheen wears off
Just look at the ridiculous prices the 355 spyder were getting in there hey day
Now go buy one, worse now go own one !
If you don't believe me, look at the girl car called the California
They are everywhere

The recent surge in 550/575 pricing is hype at its best !
Why would anyone pay high 6 figure money for a car that cannot be repaired with a minor fender bender ?
And this is from a guy who wanted one
Real bad
So that's it
Buy it because you like it
Not for what you think it's going to be worth
Because you would be REALLY WRONG!

Enjoy the weekend and let's hope Ferrari gets their act together in Formula One

Here in the UK Slades Garage in London is advertising a 2003 575M manual for £300k GBP so basically 450,000 dollars. WHY would you buy this? A design from the mid nineties? You could buy pretty much anything Ferrari makes NOW or no more than one year old for less, WITH 7 year warranty and servicing and it's faster, more reliable, warranty for 7 years everything.

People are crazy! This is a 13 year old mass produced Ferrari. What are they thinking? I just don't get it........Britt in the UK

Anywhere?  So I paused and asked about wadda about my old stomping grounds – Bureau of Autorepair and Dept. of Ins.  Both places were mum – but what would you expect from a group of people who Google Ferrari as “Fur-rah-ee”?  Just joking.

HOWEVER – however, along those lines – what does Hagerty say?  If the shop is unable to repair per road spec – TOTALed.  Has Hagerty totaled any 550/575’s?

I remember that you were after a 575M manual 6-speed a while back. What changed your mind?
