Sorry for late reply,  but had email problems.

My fuse box went South years ago.  The problem is that the rivets holding the contacts together corrode,  not the actual connections themselves.

I bought a new OEM replacement and soldered the rivets  - no more problem.

I must add, that this 308 uses the old black/white boxes that run continental ceramic fuses. When I bought the car 16 years ago, I replaced them right away with glass style GBC type. The 308 GT4 places the fuse boxes right inside the glove box, which would be a little higher up than the 308 GTB/GTS location. Relays are behind an aluminum panel at the foot of the passenger.

From my experience with commercial vehicles, corrosion always seem to build up at connections. Even with the connectors themselves, where they are crimped onto the wires. Is there a tool that can UN-CRIMP a connector at the wire? I don't want to simply cut off the wire at the base of the connector, as they are tightly run to the boxes and I don't think I'd have anymore length left to strip and crimp on a new connection. If I can save the end, I'd just sand back to some fresh copper for the new connector to make better contact with.

I am planning to use dielectric grease to improve corrosion resistance. We use this stuff all the time at work:
