Here is the bottom line the last real radiator that Ferraris had was in the 308/328
The rest of them are junk
If you own any car other than those I mentioned you are sitting on a near term
Chernobyl event one day with your car
For TR owners they need it more than most, the heat they put out is extreme
I was lucky that I routinely check and flush my radiators
But that didn't matter because they are cheaply made
And I had a failure early on and changed out one
But now that after market aluminum radii are available why would you take the chance?

Thanks for the diagnosing tips. It's surprising they use such high amp fuses even with these modern fans. Are they still made by Spal?

That's good to hear the radiators are capable for handling the heat on their own... Wanna try without any fans? <OutlookEmoji-😉.png>

Well it finally happened after 130K I had a cooling fan go out on the  passenger side

Here are my tips for making sure it’s the fan motor and not something else

Go to the fuse relay box and jump the relay

You need to jump terminals #30 (hot always) and # 87 which is the lower one on the relay

If the fan doesn’t run

Check your fuses # 6/7 respectively

I replace both of the fuses with new ones and they are  25 amp fuses!

Not done yet

Un plug the lead into the fan motor and get a test light and jump the relay again

If the light comes on then you know it’s the fan for sure!

Going to buy two new fans and aftermarket aluminum radiators as well and install them this fall

That’s it

Even with the one fan motor out the temp stayed around 210 which surprised me
