Wurth made the paint originally and the code was #0892182 but appears to be NLA now.

Most online references link to Subaru's STI gold paint as the closest, common alternative (specifically Glasurit gold GK1).

Also - which is convenient for you since you're in the UK - is this British supplier for a gold that is claimed to be another alternative (with RAL #!): https://www.e-paint.co.uk/Lab_values.asp?cRange=RAL%20Classic&cRef=RAL%201036&cDescription=Pearl%20gold

www.e-paint.co.uk
Lab, HLC, CYMK, RGB values for colours from the RAL Classic colour range. Purchase colour fans, cards, charts, books and swatches online.
I'm not sure if the above UK supplier can sell it in an aerosol can (more than likely in a regular can and will need to be applied with pro equipment). At least you can get paint chips from them and can see for yourself if it's close, or the perfect match.

I hope that helps.

Peter

Subject: [Ferrari] I need some help

Hi guys

Need some help. I have a set of BBS alloys that I want to paint to match the wheels you saw on 1970s/80s Ferraris. They were fitted as aftermarket. Slightly blingy but not to crazy. These are the rims that have a polished rim, gold spokes and a centre cap. Know what I mean? Google " BBS gold wheels Ferrari" to get an idea.

What I need is an idea of the correct gold color used by BBS on these wheels? Can anyone advise the RAL code or paint code? It was similar to what 19702 F1 cars used, some of the racing Daytonas, ect. I remember some Testarossas with BBS split alloys with gold lace spokes in the 80s as well....

I have the paint code for the wheels fitted to the limited edition 488 tribute that's just come out but it looks a bit to dark and rich from what I remember.

Can anyone advise or help? Trying to get as close as possible to an authentic look on a little project I'm working on.....

Regards
Britt in the UK
