Preston got a La Ferrari.  He sued because he didn’t make the list for the Aperta.

The market at the top isn’t as deep as everyone thinks it is, Sergio is losing sleep over Maserati's and Alfa’s sales numbers, cash flow comes from the merely rich, not the UHNW group.  He has fixed costs to cover…

I'm sure he's not starving for cash. The final hammer price at $7M - which is A LOT (too much in my opinion) - was probably do-able for him. If he wanted one THAT BADLY (enough to drop a $1M cheque sight-unseen, prior to worldwide public debut) and if he didn't bid, then it's his loss.

I'm also sure Sergio isn't losing sleep over pissing him off.

Preston is one guy. There had to be plenty others who got turned down to be on the list. I wonder if they tried to bid on this last one as well?

They shouldn't worry, Ferrari will come out with another hyper-exotic in a few years... Meanwhile, he'll have fun with his NSX.

What other possible lawsuit could he bring onto Ferrari (that would stick)?
