Hello Friends,

Long time, no post. I thought I would just jabber for a moment since its rather quiet and I can't read even one more hate post on Facebook! These words are all car content, if only partially Ferrari words.

Today I will install the last little trim piece on my Volvo 1800ES. Its the 'finisher' that closes the two ends of the passenger side drip rail trim. Until a day ago, I had lost the piece for the passenger side, having put it 'some place safe' where it wouldn't get lost! After a bit of polishing and three screws later, the job will be done!

All supplies have now arrived for the Triumph TR3b 'makeover'. New seat covers are in hand, as are the roll of carpet and edge binding. And last evening, Leatherique's custom mixed upholstery dye arrived. I can now spray all the interior panels to match the new seat covers. Top is new and side curtains will receive new windows after refinishing.

I hope to get the Lotus out today, for a little exercise. Assuming everything remains in top operating condition after a warmup, I will drive it to the shop doing the Testarossa's major service. And that leads me to the next objective.

At last count, the engine was about to come out of the Testarossa. Three body pieces had to come off: the red painted body trim from below the rear bumper, and the two black alloy grills that fit just above and behind it.

The body trim panel was bent from 'backing over' something, and the paint was scraped. Very minor damage but that panel went to the body shop last week for careful repairs and a respray. The painter reports that the panel will receive it's final buffing today and will be ready for me to pick up by late afternoon.

Today I will retrieve the two grills and repair a loose attachment bracket. The pop rivets have just worked loose. I'll then decide if the grills need refinishing.

The other cars sit quietly, awaiting their turn.
