An obd1 car - 1995 and early 1996 had more power. Emission standards hit in 96 and the whole system was "upgraded" resulting in power loss As previously mentioned, headers and valve guides were a problem but should be addressed by now. There is a valve guide replacement but it is pricey and takes time and a good mechanic Header problem got better in later cars but the best solution seems to be the tubi header. I've never heard of one failing the way the factory originals tend to do But even a later factory header is probably ok. Fwiw, I've always had a hankering for a 95 when the challenge package was a dealer job. Some of those cars still have valid vins. Would be a really cool street car with the straight pipes and that big carbon wing.
