Well dear Ferrari Family, this is Part III of my 1978 GTS rear brake saga.  The last time we met I left you with my fat head congratulating myself for finding over the counter hardened 12 mm washers that were to do away with a pile of ultra-thin factory shims.  The result?  Didn’t work.  *#!@%@#()  Too thick.

 

SO – I spread out my collection of OEM shims and  played solitaire mixing and matching various thicknesses from my finite source pool to get the shim space that was needed.  Then re-reading some tips I spray glued and gingerly placed the calipers on the uprights and seated them to place.  Done.  So far.
