Erik notes “. . . then follow your keys and phone to the ground..."

Similar to SCUBA diving instructions.  Whenever there is confusion underwater caused by oxygen narcosis or you had your tanks filled at a Mexican dive shop in La Paz whose air compressor is driven by a 9 hp Briggs and Stratton motor whose exhaust pipe is just outside the air intake system - - - - follow your bubbles.  Bubbles go UP.

Ah egress.

Last one I trained with was a Yak-52 my neighbor had.  The ground instructions went something like "if we need to bail, I'll get it inverted, pull the canopy release with your left hand and it will slide backwards.  With your right hand take your keys and phone and throw them out of the plane, undo the seat straps AND I don't recommend undoing the harness for your parachute, then follow your keys and phone to the ground..."

Haven't flown in another one since my son was born.

Sorry Doug!  Additionally, glad to see that you are not a Plebian!  Potting is the clay/glue stuff that they used to hold wiring bundles and other electric sierra together and when it cracks or melts strange things happen to the various aircraft systems.  It can be quite disconcerting, especially at night.  In Martin Baker tech, I was referring to the Martin Baker Rocket Ejection Seat system in the F-4.  Whoever buys this thing may well have to use the "egress" system.  It was a good seat, but, complicated to maintain.

For Clyde:  I had just become a Flight Commander at Misawa when I lost one of my WSOs in a seat accident.  They were up on a test hop, pulled some negative Gs and his flash light floated up into his Banna Links.  It was a cold day, so, unfortunately for him, he unstrapped while taxiing in.  When he opened the back canopy it fired the seat.  I was having a flight meeting with all my troops and we heard the seat go and then looked at it out of the window.  The butt snapper separated him from the seat and he came down on his head on the right horizontal stabilizer.  We all knew who it was as he was the only one not at the meeting.  Front seater was OK.  Really nice kid on his first assignment.

Looks like a really old C Model.  They had a lot of potting problems; caused a lot of grief to everyone.  I went from brand new Ds at Ubon to really old Cs at Misawa.  Crazy shit went wrong every time we flew them!

Hope whoever buys this has a good Martin Baker tech.

Aviation is self cleansing

Some wanna be fighter pilot with ultra deep pockets will buy it and kill himself

Hopefully no one would be stupid enough to ride with him

Hopefully it will be in an un populated area like the mountains or better yet over the water where the wreckage could not be recovered
