I remember as a (very) young "hanger rat" hanging out with the guys at Wheelus Airplane Patch talking about #&#^$@! potting.  First time I've heard it since....  Memories.  I was small enough they could shove me in the nose of an F100 or by an F4 mach ramp to hold a wrench on something so they didn't have to pull the motor to tighten some nut... I think it got in my blood.

At FWS, we had a Martin Baker engineer explaining aspects of the generations of bang seats, I remember his business card saying their goal being something like:  "Ensuring you are not the first one to the scene of the crash".

FWIW, I am not a member of the Martin-Baker fan club.  Luke? Clyde?

Looks like a really old C Model.  They had a lot of potting problems; caused a lot of grief to everyone.  I went from brand new Ds at Ubon to really old Cs at Misawa.  Crazy shit went wrong every time we flew them!

 

Hope whoever buys this has a good Martin Baker tech.
