It’d sure be fun to drive. Hell, even being a passenger would probably be more thrilling!

They did put some thought into it and worked with what they had (Bizzarrini et al). It was a fine tool and served a purpose. Yes, cheap and simple, but brick-shit-house tough. As long as it lasted 24 hours.

But is that “worth” $35+ million? Or, are we up to $50+ M now? Whatever... Even just a few million is a bit much for that.

It wouldn’t take very much to make a 250 GTE sound and feel like that. Most of the replicas were made from perfectly good examples of those anyways! An extra set of carbs, swap out the cams, put a set of straight pipes with a token pair of Cherry Bombs, voila. Kind of like working on a SBC! Ha!

The only people who shouldn’t be happy are the owners of the real GTOs. But then, they might buy up the whole run (they would be top of the priority list).

Ferrari should also park them in dusty car ports in behind the factory and let them age for a year or two. Factory barn-find condition included with the price, seeing as that’s the trend nowadays!

If you have seen one of these cars up close you have to ask your self why?
It was made cheaply pure and simple
For the life of me I don’t understand wealthy people who want this shit
They would not put their grand kids in that death trap called a GTO.
Yet they will pay millions to own one
Go figure
If you want to know what god thought about money
Just look who he gave it too!

I hope Ferrari decides to built hundreds of them
With the original specs
And please use the bias ply tires! ( from Bangladesh)
No A/C too.
It must be original !

While we are at it
Let’s bring back the 707 and the  Lockheed Connie for ocean crossings!
No FM radios and black and white TV ( why did they call it black and white?
There weren’t any blacks on TV back then, hmm)

There is a reason why we moved forward with technology in our lives
But some of us never got the memo!
Gotta go

Great article in this magazine, The Official Ferrari Magazine, about the 10 highest prices ever paid for Ferraris at auctions. They say out of the 20 highest prices ever paid for cars at auctions, 15 are Ferraris.
