Clyde,

Just two different perspectives.....and applications.

For us regular folk who have grown up in the cities mentioned (SF & NYC) with real estate in both locales owned dating back to the '70s and '80s respectively, yeah allow us to have an opinion over folks who don't/won't ever live or invest there. About 85% of the friends I grew up with had to leave 5 borough NYC for Long Island, Westchester, Jersey, etc.....because proper houses can no longer be afforded by the standard middle class. SF the same, probably more so....

For the wealthy, any and all cities can be seen as having market crashes when their $80 million mega luxury apartment has to sell for half or a third. Truly the 0.001% of problems.

So both perspectives can be right, and for the context of this conversation as it applies to 250 GTOs, I guess NYC real estate "has crashed".......but for the rest of us who actually live in those places (and not talk s**** from the outside with arrogance), excuse us for seeing things differently. :)

A lister told me years ago he'd have to sell his Ferraris if he wanted to move to NYC, and trust me he won't be the only one from now until eternity...
