Ah, found itâ?¦  http://en.espn.co.uk/f1/motorsport/story/16187.html  â??United States Grand Prix, 1959: Jack Brabham won his first world title in a dramatic finale, pushing his Cooper the final few hundred yards of the race after it had run out of fuel to take fourth place. He had been neck-and-neck with Bruce McLaren but his car spluttered to a halt as the pair came round the last bend; McLaren went on to his first grand prix victory, and at 22 was the youngest man to do so.â??  Cheers, Grahame From: Luke Graves <buyer1 [at] airmail.net>  I vaguely remember this, Grahame, somewhere in my 83 year old brain; so you must have been around for a while! Also remember Nigel dramatically pushing his car across the line in Dallas in the over 100 degree heat! As a point of interest to all, it reached 105F here in Austin today!  They keep talking about moving up the GP date here. If so watch for exploding GP cars and Track personnel dying of heat stroke!  Luke  From: Ferrari [mailto:ferrari-bounces+buyer1=airmail.net [at] ferrarilist.com] On Behalf Of Grahame Reinthal If I recall correctly (but no guarantees here) I think Jack Brabham pushed his car over the line and it turned out to bring points vital for his championship.  Cheers, Grahame  From: Ferrari <ferrari-bounces+grahame=reinthal.com.au [at] ferrarilist.com> On Behalf Of Michel Savard  I remember Prost doing it. That was in Brands Hatch. The finish line is downhill, easy to push the car. He ran out of gas, which happened regularly back then, and tried to push it to the finish line. At least he didnâ??t put on a big act with it like Mansell did in Dallas or Phoenix and Hamilton today. Mercedes officially says Hamilton didnâ??t cause the hydraulic leak by jumping over the curb at very high speed. I think they are just covering for him. He went over a few times even yesterday, but ALWAYS came back on track early. This time we clearly see he keeps going straight a long time and goes over whatever is at the end of the speed bump line. The shock from the camera inside the track was very hard on the bottom of the car.  Anyway, Ricciardo and Hamilton should be very entertaining to see. If Vettel gets a clean getaway, he should win easily.  Michael Savard (1981 308 GTSi) Â
