Lashdeep,
Your comment brings back some memories. When I lived in Laurel, my apartment was broken into and the rat-bastard thief stole two 1/8 Pocher Ferraris I had built (TR and F40). Insurance settled on about $1200
each, and I bought another Pocher kit - Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza, for about $400.
This kit was incredible - real museum quality. Crank/pistons moved inside the engine, lights were wired to work off a tiny battery hidden in the model (and the lights went on/off with the light switch on the
dashboard!), brakes worked, and wire wheels were built spoke-by-spoke.
Needless to say, this kit was stashed while I built other things, hoping to beef up my modeling skills until I was ready for this very serious challenge. And then ebay came along. One day I saw this same kit
sell for well over a grand on ebay, so I took some photos, put mine up there, and also got well over a grand for it! I think I did well - I've seen them recently for under a grand.
Still not sure if I ever would have gotten past building the wire wheels!

Are these the ones that are routinely $400 plus on ebay?
