Ha! Actually I was witness to almost this exact scenario. The only LaFerrari I’ve seen in person was at our VIR track event a few years ago. It belonged to a wealthy Ferrari collector from North
Carolina, I believe. He was also advanced in years and couldn’t get in and out of the cars anymore, but he had made “The List” (the other “The List”) and so wasn’t going to pass on his opportunity to get a LaFerrari. His son had brought the car to the track, did a few entry level laps and a photo shoot (photo shoot super cool – with a gentleman who had brought his race-prepped 288GTO, photo attached). Let some
people sit in it and then loaded it up and took it home. Harsh fate for a $2M hypercar but I was glad to see one up close… I hope I’m still driving a stick at 83. Good on ‘ya Luke! From: Luke Graves [mailto:buyer1 [at] airmail.net]
Though about getting an 812. Twenty five k down, no price confirmation and a 3 year wait! At 83, I'm not sure about the 3 year wait. I can just see
it; I'm lying there in the nursing home and my boys come in and say: Dad your 812 is here!" So, they wheel me out to look at it. Not a really good scenario. I am really happy with my 360 and love the stick shift. Love to all of you Ferrari guys, Luke |
