Brock Yates wrote a very “Brock Yates style” book titled “Enzo Ferrari: The Man, The Cars, The Races, The Machine” selling on Abebooks for quite a bit less than $6,000.Fun read. Fat book. Doug From: Ferrari [mailto:ferrari-bounces+dnt=dock.net [at] ferrarilist.com] On Behalf Of Peter Rychel I had focused my Ferrari book collection more on the cars than the story of the man. I have the very few, essential books about him. After all these years, I just picked up for myself before Christmas his “Piloti Che Gente” work (in English). Is this edition you mention Michel, along the same lines as the uber-expensive “Ferrari” limited edition written by Pino Allievi? This copy got a glowing review in the latest edition of the FCA Prancing Horse magazine, that I get the impression it is THE book on Enzo. I suppose so with a price tag of $6000 for a basic version... It’s a sad realization that almost anybody that was directly involved with the Old Man have either left us, or are not doing too well now and are just as old as when he passed. Peter |
