I was afraid someone would bring up this book. With no disrespect intended to the late Mr. Yates, his book on Enzo was the worst biography - of *ANYONE* - I ever read. The book is riddled with scandalous accusations, which are immediately countered with statements like "but there is no concrete proof of this..." So why bring it up at all then?? Simply horrible. FCA quarterly mag, Prancing Horse, #103 has the most accurate review of Yates' book I've read to date. If I could find the text online, I'd add a link to it. It's worth reading before anyone else wastes their money on this book.
With his reputation and qualifications, Mr. Yates should have been ashamed of this book.
