How tall/wide are you?  At 6’1”, I find getting in and out of the Elise to be 
awkward at best, but usually comical.  A local enthusiast has one and really 
likes it, but he’s just a wee bit taller than my 7 year old.

Mondial coupes are in that price range now.  But it is a different driving 
experience than either 308.
